Like
most social organisations, we
have a committee to arrange things and look after the finances. Our
committee members are the usual Chair, Secretary and Treasurer
supported by representatives from each of the choir sections. Our
Musical Director prefers to come along only when needed to discuss the
future music programme. The rest of the time we arrange concert venues
and publicity, decide ticket prices and what subs we should pay, and
also tackle the really difficult issues like what colour blouses the
women will wear. Our choir Librarian looks after allocating new music
and the harder task of collecting and filing music from our last
concert. Most of the time it works amicably and we do everything by
consensus decisions that are supported by the choir membership.
